The Lake’s Edge is a practical space designed for men navigating life transitions. Join a small group to decompress, reset your emotional resilience, and walk away with a clear focus and a reliable network of support.
The Crossroad.
You can't fix a new problem with an old blueprint.

Career Burnouts
You've scaled the ladder, but the corporate grind is taking its toll, your health is suffering, and life is out of balance.

Relationship Changes
You're navigating a separation, divorce, or a family restructure - and it's exhausting.

Loss of Direction
You’ve outgrown your current phase of life and find yourself in a major transition, realising you don’t have a clear blueprint for what comes next.

Our Purpose
The Lakes Edge exists to provide a deep-impact container for men navigating the friction of major life transitions. We don't offer an escape from reality; we provide the tools to master it.
By delivering traditional Himalayan Yoga—combining precise breathwork, Kriya, intentional movement, mantra, and meditation—we give men a powerful, physical operating system to down-regulate stress, clear months of mental static, and build absolute clarity. This is about dropping the armour, forging genuine a brotherhood, and constructing a resilient blueprint for your next chapter.
You will experience:
Himalayan Kriya and Breathwork
Think of this as an ancient technology for transforming your energy—Kriya is a time-tested method that completely shifts your internal state. By combining targeted movement, conscious breathing, and sound (Mantra), this high-impact practice cuts through mental static, releases the deep physical tension stored in your cells, and resets a fried nervous system. The practices range from energising to centring and heart-opening, so you can physically flip the switch from fight-or-flight to a state of grounded, calm clarity, reclaim your inner power, and feel deeply revitalised.
Restorative Yin Yoga
This is a deep, deliberate, meditative practice designed to shift chronic physical tension out of the body-mind. Holding passive yoga postures for extended periods, it directly targets the fascia—the connective tissue that acts as the body's primary energy highway. It is a slow, grounding process that unravels structural tightness, improves mobility, and restores a profound sense of physical and mental space.
The Container (The Men's Circle)
A confidential, zero-armour space to sit with other men navigating transitions, audit where you are at, and build accountability. This is a space where you are held with no saving, fixing, or advice-giving. It is a rare opportunity to really dive into what you are experiencing and learning to fully feel your reality, as well as holding a solid, grounded presence for the others in the circle. Through this work, we integrate sacred mantra practices to cut through the noise and access deeper, untapped levels of ourselves.
Space and Fuel to Recalibrate
True integration requires stepping away from the daily grind. This Lakes Edge Men's Retreat provides dedicated time to slow down, disconnect from digital noise, and immerse yourself in the grounding energy of nature. Supporting this process is a menu of clean, energising food designed to naturally fuel your system and restore vitality. Drug and alcohol-free, this environment gives your nervous system the chance to genuinely reset. It is a rare opportunity to drop the mental load, breathe clean air, and give your body-mind the space they need to regenerate and recharge.

Your Host
Alex Evans - Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist
Alex Evans is a highly trained and experienced Yoga Therapist, Himalayan Wisdom Teacher, and the founder of Bellarine Yoga Therapy. Based in Ocean Grove, Alex has spent the last five years sharing his deep love of yoga, specialising in holding steady, intentional, and grounded containers for his students.
For Alex, this work is not theoretical; it is deeply personal. Traditional yoga and meditation became his anchor while navigating the heavy, complex terrain of a challenging family separation. Out of that personal crucible, and through his own journey of being drug and alcohol free for over two years, he felt a clear calling to create a raw, genuine support network for men navigating major life transitions, career pivots, and intense stress—the kind of grounded space he felt was missing during life's hardest moments.
Bringing a calm, gentle, and deeply reassuring presence, Alex leads with a quiet confidence that makes it safe for men to drop their armour. With over 1,300+ hours of traditional and advanced yoga study, his work is rooted in deep, authentic Yogic and Vedic practice rather than modern wellness trends. His approach is deliberate and highly tactical, skillfully weaving together traditional asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), active kriya, mantra, meditation, and restorative Yin Yoga.
Alex doesn’t teach yoga as gymnastics or a lifestyle aesthetic; he delivers it as a powerful, time-tested operating system to down-regulate the nervous system, clear mental static, and restore emotional resilience. Above all, he is dedicated to holding an unshakeable, compassionate container for men to honestly audit where they're at, heal, transform, and fully show up in their lives.
